Job description

  • Provide technical support and guidance in the collection, analysis, and visualization of various data.
  • Support data analysis and data visualization activities using tools such as Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, Socrata, and others.
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and improving data products, reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Help gather, organize, validate, and analyze data to support transportation policy, program, and performance needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data collection and analysis processes.
  • Respond to requests for data support and help ensure timely delivery of accurate information products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, information systems, mathematics, economics, or a related field,
  • Zero(0) to Two(2) years of professional experience.
  • Experience or familiarity with one or more data analysis and visualization platforms, such as Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, or Socrata.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collect, clean, analyze, and present data accurately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support multiple priorities.
  • Must be US citizens.
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Must work from the client HQ in Washington DC four days per week.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience supporting transportation data, policy, or performance reporting.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. DOT or highway policy information data environment.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, or visualizations for external or internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data quality assurance practices and data management best practices.
  • Exposure to public-sector data collection, analysis, or reporting tools.

Benefits & conditions

The annual salary range for this position is $56,000.00-$94,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
