UX Engineer (Video Game Studio)

Feral Interactive is looking for an imaginative and diligent UX Engineer to bring outstanding PC and console games to mobile devices.

Feral has a world-leading reputation for developing excellent ports of AAA games that integrate perfectly into their target operating systems to produce outstanding player experiences. Our UX Engineering team plays a key part in helping to achieve this.

Using a custom variant of HTML/CSS, our UX engineers implement redesigned in-game user interfaces and experiences, working closely with our designers and developers from initial conception to final release.

An ideal candidate will relish the opportunities offered to shape players’ experience and to develop their own skills through day-to-day practice of their craft. This role is well suited to someone who wants to work in a collaborative and professional environment, where technical ability and creative flair are both valued.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our studios in Wandsworth, southwest London.

• An interest in UI/UX and game design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail

Desired Skills and Experience

• Understanding of code revision systems such as SVN or Git
• A demonstrable long-standing interest in computer games
• A determination to do your best work all of the time

• Starting salary £27-30k. And if you move to within 15 minutes’ walk of the studio, you will be eligible for a £2,000 proximity bonus
