Job description

The Device Management Quality Engineering team is looking for a passionate and proactive Software Engineer in Test to join our Device Management team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing automated tests to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our device management products. You will join a hands-on development team that cultivates creativity and innovation to deliver engineering excellence., As a Software Engineer in Test, you will work in a cross-functional team responsible for projects like Classroom, Apple Configurator, and the Remote Management framework. You will also work closely with software engineers, project managers, and other quality teams across Apple. You will help ensure Apple delivers the next generation of its operating systems with the highest quality. This role requires a blend of manual and automated testing, demanding an ability to focus on large-scale projects while also meticulously examining the smallest UI details., ā€œ,ā€responsibilitiesā€:ā€Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks for device management products across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS platforms.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to identify root causes of issues discovered during testing, facilitate post-mortem discussions to strategically prevent future occurrences, and drive issues to resolution.

Ability to work under tight deadlines by effectively coordinating with development, product and QA teams while maintaining high quality standards.

Drive continuous improvement of test infrastructure by designing scalable test plans, creating comprehensive test cases, and enhancing automation coverage.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Triage?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Experience writing code in Python, Objective-C, or Swift to test APIs, SDKs, and frameworks

Experience with XCTest and Xcode

Experience developing test plans, assessing risk, filing appropriate bugs, and consolidating bug reports

Experience driving the development and deployment of relevant testing tools and infrastructure

Meticulous, analytical, and creative problem-solver with a passion for quality processes

Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose resolutions

Ability to work independently, raise issues, and take corrective action

Minimum Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience

Experience writing and triaging automated software tests (e.g., unit, regression, functional, and stress tests)

The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
