Terraform, We are offering an outside IR35 contract opportunity for a GCP Test Engineer on a temporary fixed-term basis for 18 months. The role is based in London with hybrid/remote working available. You will support testing and assurance across secure, cloud-based platforms and services, working closely with platform engineers, architects, DevSecOps and security teams to help ensure our solutions are secure, resilient, compliant and ready for deployment in highly regulated environments.

Requirements

Experience as a Test Engineer, Cloud Test Engineer, Platform Test Engineer or in a similar role
Experience testing cloud-hosted or cloud-native platforms and services
Experience in secure, regulated or government environments
Understanding of Agile, DevOps and DevSecOps
Experience with infrastructure, integration and platform testing
Experience with cloud platforms, ideally GCP
Understanding of Kubernetes, containers and Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform
Familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing
Experience across functional, integration, regression and non-functional testing
Familiarity with API/service testing
Ability to analyse defects, risks and quality issues
Willingness to hold UK Security Clearance (SC) or obtain it before starting
Willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV)
Desirable: Google Distributed Cloud or private/air-gapped cloud experience
Desirable: Government, defence or highly regulated sector experience
Desirable: Python or other scripting/automation experience
Desirable: Kubernetes platform testing experience
Desirable: Performance, resilience or security testing experience
Desirable: Google Cloud or testing certifications
Desirable: Existing UK Government Security Clearance (SC or above)
