Job description

MA CSP is seeking a proactive, highly technical Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering and infrastructure practice in London. In this high-impact position, you will drive the evolution of our continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, cloud automation frameworks, and container orchestration systems across enterprise AWS and Azure environments.

Collaborating with Software Developers, Systems Architects, and Security Operations leads, you will build self-service developer platforms, enforce DevSecOps standards, and ensure high availability across complex, high-throughput production workloads. This role balances hands-on infrastructure engineering with technical governance and team mentorship., * CI/CD Automation & Release Management: Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD release pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI for seamless, zero-downtime application deployments.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provision, scale, and govern multi-cloud environments utilizing declarative IaC tooling, primarily Terraform and CloudFormation/Bicep.
  • Kubernetes Orchestration: Oversee production Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS), optimizing ingress routing, container security, pod autoscaling, and service mesh architectures.
  • DevSecOps Integration: Embed automated security analysis (SAST/DAST, secrets scanning, container vulnerability scans) into delivery pipelines to align with ISO 27001 and UK GDPR frameworks.
  • Observability & Incident Management: Configure comprehensive monitoring, telemetry, and logging platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK) to maintain strict SLAs and operational visibility.
  • Platform Automation & Mentorship: Script routine workflows in Python, Go, or Bash, maintain technical standard operating procedures, and mentor junior DevOps and operations engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Proven track record managing production Kubernetes clusters (EKS or AKS) and Docker containerization.
  • Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform.
  • Hands-on mastery building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
  • Strong public cloud platform fluency across AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Scripting proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for platform automation.
  • Solid experience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk).

Desirable

  • Relevant Professional Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
  • Experience implementing GitOps deployment models using ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Understanding of modern microservices architecture and service mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
