Job description
We’re looking to add Python developers to our database for upcoming contract opportunities based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Python Developer roles that could involve designing and building scalable backend systems, APIs and microservices within fast-moving technical teams., Python Developer positions of this type typically sit within organisations modernising their technology infrastructure or expanding their development capacity. Roles could involve contributing to the design, development and delivery of robust, scalable solutions using Python alongside complementary technologies such as APIs, microservices, Docker and Kubernetes. You could be working in environments that value clean code, collaborative delivery and continuous improvement across cloud platforms including Azure, AWS or GCP., * Developing and maintaining Python applications and services, with a focus on backend systems and APIs
- Designing and implementing microservices using Python, Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Contributing to the architecture and deployment of distributed systems across cloud platforms
- Writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to raise development standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver features and resolve technical challenges
- Supporting CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation
Requirements
- Solid experience developing with Python in production environments
- Experience with APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Understanding of version control and collaborative development practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
- Knowledge of Kubernetes or container orchestration
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools
- Experience with .NET, ASP.NET, React, Java or Spring Boot
- PCEP, PCAP or PCPP Python certifications
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification
