Software Testing Supervisor

Description

SAIC has an immediate need for two (2) Software Testing Supervisors to support the Precision Fires team supporting the Aviation and Missile Center located in Huntsville, AL onsite at Redstone Arsenal.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and develop test plans, test schedule, and approach
• Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios
• Conducts a walk through on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads
• Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects
• Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment
• Creates daily test metrics and reporting; communicates test results
• Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues
• Documents and works to resolve all complex problem and reports progress on problem resolution to management
• Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations

Qualifications

Required Education:

• BS degree with five (5) years of experience; Six (6) years of additional experience accepted in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle)

Required Skills:

• Understanding of software test methodologies
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in organizationally complex environments
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with significant experience leading concurrent mission operations
• Working knowledge of test range planning and coordination
• Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-with an ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
• Experience using version control software

Required Clearance:

• Must have an active Secret Security Clearance
