Job description

Google’s projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You’re equally at home explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

In this role, on a daily basis you will be responsible for coordinating across Google’s Engineering teams to solve some of the most challenging and novel problems in service management. You will work directly with Google’s supply chain, data center infrastructure, networking, and software engineering teams to design and deliver the future state of resource management within Google. Your charter will include the identification of service efficiency at Google, the balancing of resource distribution against reliability and supply chain capabilities, data center infrastructure, shared service, and budgetary constraints, and the implementation of tools and policies to optimize resource management across the entire engineering stack at Google. You will seek to redefine the definition of an on-demand computing environment at scales the world has not yet seen. Beyond solid program delivery and technical skills, you have experience in software product development, quantitative analytics, and/or supply chain management.

Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
