Systems Engineer

Working across requirements engineering, vehicle electrical architecture and systems integration, the successful Systems Engineer will be responsible for ensuring complex electrical and electronic systems are successfully defined, integrated, commissioned and validated throughout the development life cycle., * Capture, analyse and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the V-Model life cycle.

• Develop and maintain vehicle system architectures, interfaces and functional boundaries across complex electrical and electronic systems.
• Support systems integration activities covering CAN communications, electrical architectures, startup sequencing and subsystem interoperability.
• Produce technical specifications, interface control documentation and other engineering deliverables.
• Participate in commissioning, debugging, fault diagnosis and root cause analysis activities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers and stakeholders to resolve integration challenges and deliver robust vehicle solutions.

• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Systems Integration Engineer or Electrical Integration Engineer.
• Strong background in requirements elicitation, management, verification and validation.
• Experience developing system architectures and managing interfaces within complex engineering environments.
• Good understanding of vehicle electrical systems, CAN Bus communications and network integration.
• Experience working with electrical schematics, wiring architectures and electrical design principles.
• Knowledge of commissioning, diagnostics, fault finding and system-level troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering methodologies, including the V-Model development life cycle.
• Experience within automotive, EV, motorsport, off-highway, commercial vehicle, rail, marine or similar electro-mechanical industries.
