Web Interfaces Artificial Intelligence Cursor (Graphical User Interface Elements) B2b Software Build Management Figma Front End Software Development

Job description

We are a fast-moving technology startup looking for a proactive Front-End Design Engineer to work directly with our founders and turn early product ideas into polished, interactive client demos-often within hours.

This role is specifically focused on building convincing front-end demos for client meetings, sales conversations, and early product validation.

You will take rough ideas, client feedback, and early requirements, then use Claude Code to create attractive working application demos before the full application is built.

You do not need an extensive traditional software-engineering background.

We care most about your ability to use Claude Code effectively, apply strong visual and product judgement, and turn rough ideas into high-quality client demos quickly.

We are not looking for someone whose main output is Figma files or static designs.

We need someone who can build the actual interactive front end for demos: dashboards, portals, forms, workflows, navigation, tables, and realistic user journeys.

What you’ll do

  • Work directly with founders to turn rough product ideas into polished, client-ready demos quickly.
  • Use Claude Code to design and build interactive front-end application demos.
  • Create realistic dashboards, portals, forms, workflows, tables, navigation, and data-heavy interfaces for demonstrations.
  • Turn incomplete briefs into clear, intuitive, visually credible client demo experiences.
  • Make rapid updates before and after client meetings in response to feedback.
  • Build reusable interface patterns so future client demos can be produced faster.
  • Proactively identify missing screens, weak user journeys, and opportunities to improve each demo.
  • Help prepare successful demos for handover to the wider engineering team if they progress into a real product.

Requirements

  • No extensive traditional software-engineering background required.
  • Experience using Claude Code to build front-end prototypes, interactive demos, or web interfaces.
  • Strong visual taste and an ability to make a demo look polished, credible, and commercially compelling.
  • Ability to turn a rough founder brief into a working client demo without detailed specifications.
  • Comfortable working quickly, independently, and directly with founders.
  • Strong product judgement: able to decide what must be included for a convincing client demonstration.
  • Clear communication and a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • A portfolio of live demos, products, code, or screen recordings showing things you have built-not only static design files.
  • Nice to have
  • Experience with Cursor, Codex, Lovable, or similar AI-assisted coding tools.
  • Experience creating dashboards, B2B software, fintech tools, AI products, client portals, or workflow-based applications.
  • Strong eye for layout, typography, responsive interfaces, interactions, and usability.
  • Experience in a startup, product studio, agency, or fast-paced environment.

Benefits & conditions

Pulled from the full job description On-site gym UK visa sponsorship, * Competitive salary based on experience.

  • Direct collaboration with founders and real ownership over client-facing demos.
  • The opportunity to shape how new product ideas are communicated, tested, and won with clients.
  • A fast-paced environment where your work will be used immediately.

Pay: £30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week

Benefits:

  • On-site gym
  • UK visa sponsorship
