Job description
- Provide in-person and remote support for the enhancement, development, implementation, migration, and upgrade of manufacturing systems and services.
- Create documentation for installation, support, and training purposes.
- Work across multiple IT groups to provide support and deliver solutions within manufacturing.
- Develop and share best practices related to industry knowledge, technology relevance, and target solutions.
- Engages with local leadership regularly to foster positive, cross-functional relationships with IT and non-IT colleagues.
- Support the integration of MES, HMI, and ERP solutions.

Requirements
- Degree qualification within a Manufacturing or Information Technology discipline, alongside a demonstrable track record of success in supporting manufacturing/shop floor systems
- Familiarity of ISA-95 and ITIL models and concepts
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops or similar development tools
- C#, VB, .Net web services/framework preferred, or experience with PLCs and Scada systems
- Basic SSRS, SQL Database knowledge, Oracle Database familiarity is a plus but not required
- MSSQL, TSQL, Stored Procedures, Indexing proficient with DB’s
- Experience working with networking, server, and local site service teams
- Strong working knowledge of current operating systems, IT hardware, networking concepts
- Effective communication skills and an ability to offer technical education to those who are peers as well as those in leadership

We now havee an opportunity to recruit a Manufacturing System and Solution Consultant to join the EMEA region within Danfoss Power Solutions (DPS) Global Operations (GOPS). As an integral part of the manufacturing delivery team, you will be working alongside a highly skilled team of global solution architects and designers, innovating the technology and MFG systems used to build sustainable smart solutions that power industries and cities.
As a member of GOPS Manufacturing Systems and Services, you work with business stakeholders to troubleshoot incidents, resolve problems, gather requirements and implement technical system solutions. Business stakeholders are typically Manufacturing Engineers, Process Technicians, Equipment Operators or members of leadership. To improve the safety, quality, and productivity of our manufacturing environment, technical solutions range from standard PC’s with commercially available software, to purpose-built MES systems with custom hardware and software solutions. This role regularly requires researching new systems, applying existing standards to them and creating documentation. To succeed in this position, it is essential to understand the manufacturing shop floor landscape and execution layers (ISA95).

This role will require a base at one of our main manufacturing plants in EMEA such as Nordborg (Denmark), Neumunster (Germany) or Povaszka (Slovakia), with up to 40 days travel per year anticipated., Danfoss engineers solutions that increase machine productivity, reduce emissions, lower energy consumption, and enable electrification.
Our solutions are used in areas such as refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, power conversion, motor control, industrial machinery, marine, and on- and off-highway equipment. We also provide solutions for data centers, renewable energy, energy storage, heat recovery, as well as contribute to district energy solutions for cities.
