Job description
At Moss, we give finance professionals the power to automate their day-to-day and make forward-thinking decisions.
Our team and culture make us unique - weâre driven by impact and growth, where every one of us strives to learn and excel. Recognised by Siftedâs Rising 100 and LinkedInâs Top Startups, weâre here to help propel your career and together, make Moss a lasting success.
Weâre hiring an IT Program Manager who will be at the centre of how Moss buys, manages and eventually retires technology. Youâll own the vendor and contract landscape, steer the Tech Operations budget, and lead the company-wide platform migrations and consolidations that come a few times a year.
Youâll report to the CISO and work closely with our Tech Operations engineers and Information Security team, alongside Legal, People Ops and FP&A, across a technology estate spanning 350 people and five offices., * Own vendor and contract negotiations across Mossâs SaaS, tooling, infrastructure and connectivity providers, running competitive evaluations to build commercial leverage and maintaining the renewal calendar and contract repository
- Plan and steer the Tech Operations budget, creating cost transparency per team and driving licence right-sizing, optimisation and consolidation across the tool estate
- Partner with teams across Moss to understand how tools are actually used, matching licence tiers to real usage and deciding which overlapping tools to keep based on what genuinely serves people, not just cost
- Drive down the number of tools Moss runs by finding shadow IT, bringing it into the process or consolidating it, and owning retirement work together with Information Security
- Lead company-wide technology migrations and retirements end to end, from business case and migration plan through cutover, communication and training
- Bring structure to how work reaches Tech Operations, building a clear intake process and owning the KPIs and monthly management reporting for the domain
- Work with Legal on contracts and DPAs and with People Ops on joiners and leavers, owning the commercial relationship and negotiation for the vendors in your portfolio within Mossâs existing Vendor Management framework
Requirements
- Several years of experience in IT vendor management, procurement, sourcing, tech operations or IT service management, ideally gained in a scaling company
- Proven experience negotiating with vendors and providers, including on service levels and cost
- Experience leading at least one company-wide tool migration or consolidation end to end, including decommissioning the old system
- A hands-on IT background, enough to keep essential services running from documented runbooks in an emergency
- AI is core to how we work. We expect someone with an âAI Driverâ toolkit: measurable, real-workflow AI use with concrete before/after impact, ideally including built automations or agents (n8n, Claude skills, or similar).
- German at C1 or above, prior experience in a regulated environment (financial services, payments or e-money), exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2 or DORA, or an ITIL/IAITAM qualification are all a plus
In addition, here are the skills and attributes we are looking for:
- A talent for moving things forward through clarity and good process rather than hierarchy
- Comfortable owning commercial outcomes inside a governance framework someone else owns
- Genuine curiosity about how other teams work, and translating that into better commercial calls than a dashboard would
- A structured, documentation-friendly way of working, with an instinct for turning manual work into something that runs itself
Benefits & conditions
We have a team of 300+ people from 50+ nationalities in 5 offices across Europe. Be part of a culture that thrives on impact and speed, where you can take bold moves, learn fast and accomplish more. Weâre a place where you can fast track your career - hereâs what else to expect:
- Top-of-market compensation package, including equity.
- Our vibrant offices are at the heart of our culture, where in-person time fuels collaboration and connection over weekly breakfasts and Friday demos.
- Additional benefits include: 20 days âwork from abroadâ, 600EUR/GBP Learning & Development Budget, and other local benefits.
