Job description

  • Deploy and administer Windows and Linux (RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu) servers, both physical and virtual, ensuring reliability, availability, and security.
  • Deploy and administer Azure cloud resources, ensuring reliability, availability, and security.
  • Configure and deploy SSL decryption, PKI certificates, MFA, and hardware tokens, following best security practices.
  • Implement security measures and controls to protect networks and systems against unauthorized access and cyber threats, ensuring compliance with NIST and DISA standards for CMMC.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to maintain, regularly update, and test backup and disaster recovery plans, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.

Other Job Functions:

  • Maintain servers, endpoints, and networks; collaborate with IT team members to deploy updates and patches.
  • Monitor system logs and network activity to identify and address security vulnerabilities or incidents.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, hardware, and software applications.
  • Monitor system performance, network traffic, and server availability to ensure optimal operation.
  • Perform routine system updates, patches, and security fixes.
  • Create and update technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
  • Generate reports on system performance, security status, and incident responses.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement new technologies and solutions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and experience with DoD compliance standards such as STIG, NIST, DISA, and CMMC, as well as expertise in modifying, troubleshooting, and performing major repairs on network hardware and software components, including Windows and Linux servers, routers, switches, access points, and other IT equipment. The selected candidate will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information., * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), etc., are a plus.
  • Active DoD Security Clearance is a plus.
  • 8 years’ experience administrating Active Directory, Group Policy, Radius, Network Policy Server, Identity Management, and Certificate Services.
  • 8 years’ experience managing and administrating Windows systems, both physical and virtual, in a domain environment.
  • 5 years’ experience managing and administrating Linux systems, both physical and virtual, in a domain environment.
  • Proficient with VMWare/ESXI, HCI Hyper-V, or other hypervisors.
  • 5 years’ experience managing and administrating Office 365 and SharePoint 365.
  • 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Display a keen interest in IT-related work and a desire to learn and grow.

Candidate Must Possess the Ability to:

  • Multi-task, keep records, prepare reports, and follow specific instructions.
  • Train and instruct employees in proper use of computers/network system functions and resources.
  • Effectively carry out difficult and complex tasks while exercising independent judgment and initiative.
  • Perform other duties as required., * A requirement of this job is that you obtain and maintain a security clearance, and you must be a U.S. citizen. Are you a U.S. citizen?
