Job description

  • Architect, integrate, and optimize 4G LTE and 5G cellular network solutions for embedded, defense, and commercial wireless applications.
  • Develop custom scripts and tooling (Python, Bash, or C/C++) to streamline data collection, automated testing, and KPI performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with hardware and embedded software teams to integrate LTE user equipment (UE) modules, baseband processors, and RF subsystems.
  • Conduct continuous integration testing and verification for custom hardware and software releases.
  • Perform design reviews, simulations, and validation to ensure functionality and reliability.

Requirements

VOCAL Technologies Inc. is actively seeking a Senior LTE/4G/5G Software Developer to join our growing team supporting Telecommunications and Embedded Systems development. This person will be a key member of the hardware development team working with software and algorithm development teams. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills along with the efficient problem-solving capabilities., * Must be a US Citizen (due to government contracting requirements).

  • +5 Years of experience in LTE/4g/5g wireless telecommunications engineering.
  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of 3GPP protocols, LTE Core (EPC), RAN architecture, and call flow signaling.
  • Experience with embedded wireless hardware bring-up, or device drivers.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and or RUST.
  • Knowledge of real-time embedded systems (RTOS), Linux Environments, or custom firmware development.
  • Experience working with private LTE networks, or secure government wireless solutions.
  • Hand-on experience with lab test equipment., * Due to the nature of some government contracting we do, applicants must be US Citizens. Are you a Citizen of the United States of America?

  • Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

  • LTE/4G/5G: 4 years (Required)
  • C/C++ or RUST: 5 years (Required)
