Job description

Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving databases and system administration. This includes database design, implementation and maintenance, security administration, capacity planning, performance tuning and performance monitoring, job scheduling, data backup and recovery, business continuity planning and testing, installing vendor software products, coordination of and responsibility for system availability, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality and security of information. This position is dedicated to Service Oklahoma, * Gather business requirements from stakeholders and prioritize data products for development.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage data to create value, deliver insights, and prioritize effort, especially through quantitative measures, visualizations, metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Design and support reports, dashboards, data models and data applications on State approved platforms.
  • Review existing reports, dashboards, and data applications for accuracy and efficacy.
  • Possess skills and knowledge of the elements of the modern data stack and the State Data Strategy, including:

  • Data QC/QA
  • Business Intelligence Platforms

Requirements

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Management, Math, Statistics, or a related field AND 2 years’ experience. Or an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Management, Math, Statistics, or a related field AND 4 years’ experience in a related field. Or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Preference will be given to candidates who possess

  • Experience developing metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and visualizations.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Experience with cloud data environments, data marts, and business intelligence platforms, including PowerBI, Looker, and Looker Studio Pro.
  • Experience with alerts, monitoring for datasets, reports, and dashboards.
  • Strong technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
  • Experience in delivering end-to-end data solutions and training others on data analytics.
  • Knowledge of any data storage systems and techniques
  • Knowledge of any data transformation systems and techniques
  • Ability to produce accurate, timely, and high-quality products to a customer
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and design data solutions
