SAP MDG Architect

We are seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Architect to lead enterprise-wide master data governance initiatives across S/4HANA transformation programs. The role is responsible for defining MDG architecture, governance frameworks, data quality standards, workflows, integrations, and global data management strategies across Customer, Supplier, Material, Finance, and Business Partner domains. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP MDG, S/4HANA, data governance, business process design, and stakeholder management, with proven experience delivering large-scale transformation programs., Master Data Governance Strategy Define and drive enterprise-wide Master Data Governance strategy and roadmap. Establish governance policies, standards, and operating models for master data management. Design centralized governance processes to improve data quality, compliance, and consistency. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data ownership and stewardship models.

Solution Architecture & Design : Lead end-to-end SAP MDG solution architecture across Material, Customer, Supplier, Finance, and Business Partner domains. Design scalable MDG data models, governance workflows, validation rules, and approval processes. Conduct fit-gap workshops and propose best-practice solutions aligned with SAP standards. Ensure solution alignment with S/4HANA Clean Core and SAP Business Transformation objectives. Workflow & Governance Design : Design and implement: Change Request Types Governance Workflow BRF+ Rules Duplicate Checks Data Quality Frameworks Validation & Derivation Rules Define approval matrices and governance processes for master data lifecycle management. Integration & Data Replication : Architect integrations between SAP MDG and: SAP S/4HANA ECC Ariba SuccessFactors SAP BTP CPI/PI-PO Non-SAP Applications Design DRF-based replication frameworks, APIs, IDocs, SOA, and OData services. Guide integration architecture and middleware strategy. Data Quality & Migration : Define enterprise data quality strategy. Implement duplicate prevention, enrichment, and cleansing processes. Lead data migration and harmonization initiatives during S/4HANA transformations. Establish monitoring and governance controls for golden records. Program Leadership : Lead SAP MDG workstreams within large-scale transformation programs. Manage cross-functional teams including business, functional, technical, and integration teams. Provide architecture governance and design sign-offs. Mentor MDG consultants and solution designers. Stakeholder Management : Interface with business leadership, enterprise architects, data owners, and governance councils. Present solution roadmaps and architecture recommendations to executive stakeholders. Drive decision-making and governance approvals.

10-15+ years of SAP experience. Minimum 5+ years of SAP MDG implementation experience. Experience leading multiple SAP MDG implementation or transformation programs. Strong experience in global template design and multi-country rollouts. Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. SAP MDG Certification. SAP S/4HANA Certification. Experience with SAP Activate methodology. Knowledge of enterprise Data Governance and MDM best practices.
