Microsoft SME

Focused Management, Inc. (FMI) is seeking an experienced Microsoft Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). The selected candidate will serve as the senior technical authority for Microsoft’s enterprise endpoint and productivity platform, providing engineering support for Microsoft 365, Windows endpoints, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and enterprise identity services. The Microsoft SME will engineer secure endpoint configurations, standardize Microsoft cloud services, automate endpoint management, support identity security, and resolve complex engineering issues in collaboration with cloud, cybersecurity, and Service Desk engineering teams., * Engineer and maintain enterprise Windows endpoint configurations.

• Administer Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Support Microsoft Entra ID identity services.
• Configure Conditional Access and endpoint compliance policies.
• Engineer secure Windows workstation images.
• Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Manage endpoint provisioning, enrollment, and lifecycle operations.
• Support passwordless authentication and hardware-backed credentials.
• Develop endpoint automation using PowerShell.
• Monitor endpoint health, compliance, and telemetry.
• Troubleshoot complex Microsoft cloud and endpoint issues.
• Produce engineering documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
• Support security audits and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with Apple, Cybersecurity, Network, and Cloud Engineering teams.
• Provide Tier III engineering support for Microsoft technologies.

• Minimum 8 years of Information Technology or Microsoft infrastructure experience.
• Minimum 6 years performing enterprise engineering functions.
• Extensive experience supporting Microsoft 365 enterprise environments.
• Experience administering Microsoft Intune.
• Experience supporting Windows Autopilot.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory.
• Experience supporting enterprise Windows desktop environments.
• Experience supporting formal change management and security governance.
