Job description

Job Summary : As a Corporate Cybersecurity Analyst at Millennium Space Systems, you will ensure that unclassified and controlled systems comply with corporate security requirements and applicable federal regulations. You will execute vulnerability testing, perform limited penetration testing, and contribute to root cause- analysis and remediation activities while supporting the implementation of the NIST Risk Management Framework, the Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-171 R2, and CMMC on the corporate network. This is an onsite role in El Segundo, California.

This position’s internal job is Cyber Security Assessment Spec. Our team is currently hiring for a level 1 or 2.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily and weekly audits and scans using SIEM, vulnerability scanners, antivirus, IDS/IPS, Nmap, Wireshark, and similar tools

  • Create, modify, and upgrade security tools (SIEM, EDR, DLP), dashboards, queries, and reports

  • Execute predefined vulnerability testing and limited penetration testing; conduct foot printing, enumeration, and exploitation as needed

  • Perform root cause analysis of findings and assist with remediation reviews

  • Create and maintain documentation (Including but not limited to system security plan (SSP), acceptable use policies (AUP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), incident playbooks)

  • Assess and implement the NIST Risk Management Framework, Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-171 R2, and CMMC on the corporate network

  • Work with Information Technology to monitor daily network activity, generate weekly security reports, and brief the Head of Information Security

  • Serve as liaison for all corporate Information Security matters, providing strong interpersonal support

  • Participate in or lead risk management activities such as disaster recovery, continuity of operations, and incident response

Requirements

  • Associates degree in IT, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer

  • Must have an active DoD 8570/8140 IAM Level 1 security certification (Security+, Cloud+, etc.)

  • Experience with SIEM, NIDS/NIPS, EDR, DLP, vulnerability scanning, and network threat hunting

  • 1+ years of experience in a SOC, Information Security Analyst role, or equivalent academic experience

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline

  • Experience in Linux and Windows integrated environments

  • Advanced cyber related certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.)

  • Incident response experience or related academic knowledge

  • Strong work ethics and ability to learn complex SOC concepts

  • 3+ years of experience in a SOC, Information Security Analyst role, or equivalent academic experience

  • Working knowledge of NIST 800-171 R2 or related cybersecurity frameworks and familiarity with CMMC

  • Experience in digital forensics

  • Experience with NIST 800-171 and CMMC

  • Experience with SDLC and experience within a DevOps environment

Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process., This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required., Associate’s Degree or Equivalent Required, This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

  • Level 1: $80,750 - $118,750

  • Level 2: $100,300 - $147,500
