Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network & Systems Administrator to manage our end-to-end ISP infrastructure. This role is unique, requiring a deep emphasis on advanced MikroTik routing and the management of virtualized environments (Proxmox & Hyper-V). You will be responsible for the health of our fiber and wireless backbone, the migration and setup of critical servers, and the seamless integration of our business tools like Calix and Office 365., 1. Core Network Infrastructure & ISP Operations

  • MikroTik Mastery: Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of MikroTik routers. Manage complex routing tables, firewall rules, and bandwidth queues to ensure peak performance and 99.9% uptime.
  • Fiber & Wireless Backbone: Oversee the physical and logical layers of the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and wireless distribution networks, ensuring robust LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity.
  • Performance & Routing: Conduct proactive load balancing and bandwidth management. Maintain an emphasis on high-level routing efficiency to minimize latency for residential and business clients.
  1. Virtualization & Server Management * Virtual Environments: Architect, implement, and maintain high-availability virtual clusters using Proxmox (KVM/LXC) and Microsoft Hyper-V. * Server Lifecycle & Transfers: Execute full server setups, including hardware racking, OS installation, and complex server transfers/migrations with minimal service interruption. * Hardware & Software Maintenance: Install and update network hardware (switches, routers, APs) and ensure all server firmware and security patches are current. * Storage & Data Integrity: Manage storage arrays and backup protocols to ensure data integrity across all virtual machines and physical nodes.

  2. Network Security & Enterprise Integration * Multi-Layer Security: Implement best practices for network security, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion prevention. Manage the Avast Security suite to protect the enterprise from internal and external threats. * Cloud & SaaS Management: Direct the administration and integration of Office 365 and Gmail/Open Source email environments. * Business Systems & CRM: Serve as the technical lead for CRM integration, ensuring seamless data flow between customer billing systems, support tools, and network provisioning.

  3. Troubleshooting, Support & Documentation * Advanced Support: Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting for complex connectivity issues and performance bottlenecks, supporting both on-site and remote scenarios. * Subscriber Experience: Optimize customer-facing networks, including Wi-Fi 6/Mesh setup and remote router management, to ensure high-quality standards for home internet users. * Documentation & Reporting: Maintain documentation of network configurations, IP schemas, and security protocols. Provide regular reports on network health, incidents, and planned improvements.

Requirements

To support this trajectory, we are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our mission of revolutionizing rural connectivity and to grow alongside a company dedicated to technological excellence and community service., * Routing Expertise: 5+ years of intensive experience with MikroTik (MTCNA or MTCRE certifications are a significant plus). Experience with home networking technologies (routers, modems, Wi-Fi, mesh networks).

  • Virtualization: Proven experience managing Proxmox (KVM/LXC) and Hyper-V environments.
  • Server Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments, specifically regarding server transfers and environment cloning.
  • Hardware: Experience with Calix OLT/ONTs and wireless backhaul equipment.
  • Cloud & Mail: Proficiency in Office 365 administration and managing open-source mail configurations (Gmail/IMAP/SMTP). Familiarity with VoIP, IPTV, and other internet-based services.
  • Security: Hands-on experience with Avast Business or similar enterprise security consoles.
  • Customer Service: Ability to support and optimize ISP services with a focus on residential customer satisfaction. Strong communication skills to interact with customers, internal teams, and external vendors.
  • Certifications: Certification in network management (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar certifications) a plus.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously., * working for an internet service provider: 1 year (Required)
