Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Data Scientist specializing in Supply Chain Management (SCM) to join our team. In this role, you will leverage advanced data analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques to optimize supply chain processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive strategic decision-making. Your expertise will help transform complex data into actionable insights, enabling more efficient inventory management, logistics planning, and overall supply chain performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of big data analytics and contribute to the digital transformation of supply chain operations., * Develop and implement machine learning models for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and logistics planning using frameworks such as TensorFlow and Spark.

  • Design and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load large datasets from diverse sources into analytical platforms.
  • Conduct data mining and natural language processing (NLP) to uncover patterns, trends, and insights from unstructured data such as supplier reports or customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions utilizing SQL, Python, R, Java, and Bash scripting.
  • Optimize database design for efficient storage and retrieval of supply chain data within Hadoop clusters or cloud-based environments like AWS.
  • Lead model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring processes to ensure high accuracy and reliability of predictive analytics solutions.
  • Utilize visualization tools such as Looker to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Commercial use (data warehousing systems)?, * Proficiency in programming languages including Python, R, Java, C, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell).

  • Extensive experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Talend, and cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow and other AI tools for developing scalable models.
  • Expertise in unsupervised learning techniques for clustering and anomaly detection within large datasets.
  • Solid understanding of database design principles and experience working with SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP), data mining methods, and linked data concepts for integrating diverse information sources.
  • Hands-on experience with model deployment strategies ensuring seamless integration into production environments.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools such as SAS or Looker for advanced reporting and visualization purposes.
  • Experience with model training workflows specific to supply chain applications-forecasting accuracy improvements or logistics optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science,

or a related field.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a data scientist, with a strong focus on

supply chain management and problem-solving.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python and experience with data manipulation libraries

(e.g., Pandas, NumPy).

  • Experience with Oracle Databases
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-

learn, PyTorch).

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud platforms and data warehousing solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to present complex data insights and

models to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Analytical Mindset: Proven problem-solving skills with a strong focus on data-

driven decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in supply chain optimization tools and methodologies particularly in

the Automotive Industry.

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI) to communicate findings

effectively.

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric
