Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IAM (Identity & Access Management) Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust identity and access management solutions that safeguard our organization’s digital assets. Your expertise will ensure seamless user authentication, authorization, and security compliance across diverse IT infrastructure environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence our security posture while working with cutting-edge cybersecurity tools and standards., * Develop, deploy, and manage IAM systems integrating with enterprise IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, LDAP, and cloud-based identity providers.
- Implement and oversee security protocols such as PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), SSO (Single Sign-On), and multi-factor authentication to enhance access security.
- Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security system audits aligned with ISO 27001, NIST standards, and other compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to ensure secure network architecture utilizing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems), and network protocols like IPsec and TCP/IP.
- Monitor security events using SIEM tools such as Splunk or SolarWinds; analyze logs for potential threats or vulnerabilities; respond promptly to incidents.
- Support incident response efforts by investigating security breaches, performing vulnerability assessments, and assisting in incident recovery procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including system security plans, access controls, and audit reports to ensure ongoing compliance with information security standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT security management with a focus on identity & access management systems.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, load balancing, and network support tools.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), Cisco ASA firewalls, Juniper devices, and network security appliances.
- Familiarity with ISO 27000 series standards (ISO 27001/27002), FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards), FedRAMP requirements, and other cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation; experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Understanding of encryption technologies including PKI certificates; knowledge of system hardening practices for operating systems like Linux (Debian, CentOS) or Windows.
- Ability to perform vulnerability research, threat detection & response analysis using cybersecurity tools such as SIEMs and endpoint detection & response (EDR) solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to security risk assessment investigation and incident management.
