Job description

Magellan Aerospace Processing, New York is looking for a full-time Masking Technical Lead. If you love creativity, your search ends here! The job duties of a Masking Technical Lead include 3D and 2D design and printing of masking guides and masking material, working with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities, and implementing process improvements in various surface treatments. Thereby, increasing productivity and reducing overall processing costs. Responsible for identifying, designing, planning and directing assigned projects in the area of new or modified equipment used in the masking for surface treatment process. Additional duties will include but not limited to continuous improvement projects, masking template design/development, masking/inspection operation sheets using customer supplied using 2D drawing or captures from 3D model., Work with cross-functional team to identify and implement process improvement opportunities in various surface treatments. Performs special projects as assigned. Contribute to 6S and continuous improvement efforts. 3D design and printing of masking guides and masking material. Masking template design/development. Develop masking/inspection/Process operation sheets. Use of the ERP to create/maintain process plans steps related to Masking Department. Assist Continuous Improvement in developing surface treatment methodology by interpreting customer requirements, engineering data, and sketches, written and verbal instructions. Requirements

4 years degree in mechanical engineering or 4-6 years of hands-on. Portfolio: provide samples, if possible, of components previously designed or programmed. Project Management, CATIA, Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Ability to use measuring instruments (microscopes, gauges, calipers, and micrometers). Knowledge of GD&T and interpreting Engineering data. Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power point). Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills. Effective time-management skills. Ability to use ERP/MRP, MES system. Quality and detail oriented. High degree of analytical and critical thinking. Ability to work collaboratively as a team, as well as independently. Agile Dependable Highly motivated

Benefits & conditions

The salary range: $65,000 per year based on relevant experience.

Scheduled Time: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (May be flexible an hour earlier).
