Job description

We are looking for a System Firmware Test Development Engineer to develop and automate end-to-end validation for server-class CPU/GPU firmware and platform features. The role combines firmware test development, system-level debugging, automation, and AI-driven QA., * Define platform-level firmware test strategies, coverage, and regression plans.

  • Develop automated end-to-end tests covering boot and runtime firmware functionality.
  • Build test harnesses and integrate regression testing with CI.
  • Execute tests, debug failures, perform root-cause analysis, and work with firmware teams on defect resolution.
  • Develop AI/LLM-based QA solutions, including autonomous agents and RAG workflows for test generation, regression scoping, and failure analysis.
  • Improve test infrastructure, reporting, coverage, and execution efficiency.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of firmware/software development, validation, or test development experience.
  • Hands-on SoC/system bring-up and low-level debugging experience.
  • Strong computer architecture and enterprise/server platform knowledge.
  • C/C++ programming plus Python, Perl, and/or Bash scripting.
  • Experience with AI applications such as LLM-based tools, autonomous agents, or RAG systems.
  • Experience in one or more: BIOS/ACPI/SMBIOS, RAS, DDR/memory validation, power management, platform security, virtualization, PCIe/CXL, MCTP/SPDM/PLDM/RDE.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred., * Bachelor’s (Preferred), * firmware development: 5 years (Preferred)

  • System/SoC bring-up: 4 years (Preferred)
  • low-level debugging: 4 years (Preferred)
  • C++: 4 years (Preferred)
  • computer architecture: 4 years (Preferred)
  • server platform: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Hands-on AI/LLM/RAG/agentic AI: 1 year (Preferred)
