Are you looking for an innovative and consolidated place for your professional development? GMV is an experienced technology group and we are looking for a Security Software Engineer/ Architect to support the GSOp CYB MNT Team.

The role contributes significantly to the architecture, design, development and maintenance of cybersecurity-related software, including tools for vulnerability management, report generation and process automation.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

The engineer will support the complete software lifecycle, from defining and implementing technical solutions through testing, documentation, deployment and ongoing improvement.

The role will include undertaking the following functions and tasks:

  • Design, implement and test software solutions for the CYB MNT Team.
  • Support the software throughout its entire lifecycle.
  • Define and promote the technical direction of software development.
  • Guide and mentor other members of the software team.
  • Cooperate closely with Cyber Security Managers and Team Leads to ensure that the software meets customer requirements.
  • Maintain software architecture and design documentation.
  • Define and document coding standards, technical procedures and software usage instructions.
  • Prepare monthly activity or service reports.
  • Produce coding documentation according to the relevant project milestones.
  • Prepare a final handover status document at the end of the assignment., The candidate should be available for occasional business travel or on-site presence when requested by DLR GfR. Colocation requirements will be decided on a case-by-case basis. No specific travel frequency or percentage is stated in the documents. Travel expenses will be handled in accordance with the applicable travel-expense guidelines

Requirements

  • Required knowledge:-University degree in software development, preferably with a focus on cybersecurity or ITsecurity, or an equivalent qualification supported by relevant professional experience.
  • At least five years of experience in software development and/or software architecture.

A Strong understanding of:

  • Software architecture
  • Full-stack development
  • Agile methodologies
  • Test-driven development
  • Continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • RESTful API design
  • Object-oriented programmingContainerisation
  • Advanced knowledge of Python, including frameworks such as Django, FastAPI or Flask and libraries such as pandas or NumPy.
  • Advanced knowledge of complex database design and administration, for example PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
  • Experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
  • Knowledge of Git, GitLab and GitLab CI/CD, JavaScript, relevant frameworks, CSS and HTML.
  • Scripting experience with Bash and PowerShell.
  • Experience in Linux and Windows server administration.

  • Very good written and spoken English.

  • Strong organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to understand complex technical relationships and quickly familiarise oneself with new projects and technologies.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of confidentiality, reliability, initiative and willingness to learn.

We will also value previous experience and knowledge in:-

  • Experience in cybersecurity architecture.
  • Experience in vulnerability management.
  • German-language skills.
  • Previous experience leading the technical direction of a software team or mentoring software developers would also be beneficial for performing the described responsibilities.
