Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented WINDOWS SERVER ADMINISTRATOR to join our team in QUANTICO, VA., * Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022) while monitoring server performance and optimizing resource utilization.

  • Managing Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including domain controllers, user/group management, DNS, DHCP, and complex Group Policy Object (GPO) creation and deployment.
  • Administering virtualized server environments utilizing VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V to ensure scalable and resilient infrastructure.
  • Planning and executing automated patching, software updates, and OS deployments using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
  • Hardening Windows servers in strict accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and remediating vulnerabilities identified by ACAS/Nessus scans.
  • Maintaining enterprise backup solutions, ensuring data integrity, and participating in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years in Information Systems Security. A total of 8 years’ experience required without a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating the Sponsor’s accreditation process and ICD 503 standards, including A&A Body of Evidence (BOE) creation.
  • Proven experience meeting security requirements in the Sponsor’s environment or similar enterprise environments.
  • Experience collaborating across large teams to drive security initiatives and manage complex, integrated system data flows.
  • Experience with complex network inventorying and network documentation (compliance, configuration management, patching, centralized authentication).
  • Strong capability to create, maintain, and communicate technical, network, and security documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • Experience with the Sponsor’s primary cyber risk and compliance automation tools.
  • Proactive self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working across teams and driving organizational change.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active current TS/SCI security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
