Job description

We are seeking an experienced iRDK Platform Bring-Up Engineer to lead end-to-end platform enablement activities on MediaTek C-X1 SoC-based automotive platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SoC/ECU bring-up, BSP development, Linux kernel, bootloader integration, embedded software development, and platform validation. This role requires close collaboration with MediaTek, hardware teams, and software architects to ensure successful platform delivery from prototype to production. Required Skills

Platform Validation & Debugging, * Lead end-to-end iRDK platform bring-up on MediaTek C-X1 from EVK reference hardware to custom iRDK boards.
Own software stack enablement including bootloader, kernel, BSP, middleware, and platform integration.
Act as the primary technical liaison with MediaTek for platform support, issue resolution, and escalations.
Drive platform characterization activities including performance benchmarking, system stability analysis, and thermal profiling.
Collaborate with architecture, hardware, and software engineering teams on bring-up strategies and technical solutions.
Prepare and deliver weekly project status updates, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
Support debugging and validation activities using hardware debugging tools and low-level software diagnostics.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
10+ years of Embedded Software Development experience.
5+ years in a Technical Lead, Staff Engineer, or equivalent leadership role.
Hands-on experience with MediaTek SoC platforms (C-X1, MT8xxx series, or similar).
Proven experience leading ECU and SoC bring-up programs from development through production.
Strong expertise in Linux kernel, BSP development, middleware integration, and bootloader technologies such as U-Boot.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
Experience with hardware debugging tools including Lauterbach, JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with experience working directly with SoC vendors.
