Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer in Emeryville, CA for a 6 month contract with possible extensions. You will apply the skills and aptitude of an intermediate-level Data Engineer to build and maintain the Enterprise Data Warehouse for Reporting, Analytics, Agentic AI and Strategic AI use cases., * Use experience in and knowledge of Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Airflow Composer, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Functions, BigQuery Data Transfer Service, Python, SQL and GitHub to build, modify and maintain Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)

  • Collaborate as a member of a high-performing Agile data engineering scrum team
  • Collaborate with the EDW development team, the larger Data & Integrations engineering team, the Production Data Support team and internal business stakeholders to design and develop new functionality, and to troubleshoot then resolve reported problems
  • Use Google Gemini or Claude AI to generate detailed system documentation for new and modified data pipelines

Requirements

Primary Technical Focus:

  • Prior experience using Agile in software engineering projects; Google Cloud Platform certifications are a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
