This role supports Nexthink’s Engineering organization of 300+ people. You will operate in a highly autonomous, foundational role, acting as the primary engineer responsible for the observability domain. You will own technical direction and execution, while partnering with stakeholders who identify and prioritize observability opportunities.

The role requires strong engineering judgment, end-to-end ownership, and comfort operating independently in a production environment with real business impact.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and own an advanced observability platform, integrating systems through APIs using DataDog, AWS services, GitHub Actions, OpenTelemetry and more.
  • Leverage AI and LLM capabilities to automate root-cause analysis and surface improvement opportunities across the platform.
  • Own the administration and optimization of the observability platform for performance, reliability, cost, and governance.
  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and iterate on implemented solutions to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and production-level reliability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in SaaS projects.
  • Experience with observability systems and concepts. Experience with DataDog would be a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps.
  • Experience with IaC tools for managing cloud and/or observability resources.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and AWS fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of security requirements and best practices in SaaS environments.
  • Understanding of SRE challenges.
  • Being able to leverage AI tools in day-to-day work
  • Ability to lead cross-team communications.
  • Self-motivated, with good organizational skills.
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Professional-level English spoken and written.

Benefits & conditions

  • Permanent Contract and a competitive compensation package.
  • Amazing centrally located offices near the Bernabeu Stadium.
  • Private Health Insurance (Sanitas) and daily meal vouchers of 11 EUR will be entirely covered by us.
  • Hybrid work model balancing office and remote work, with a structured approach for new hires to foster connections and onboarding.
  • ️ Flexible Hours and unlimited vacation (employees have unlimited paid time off on top of the 23 days of holidays we offer) plus 3 company-paid volunteer days.
  • Up to 25 EUR per month for a gym subscription.
  • Flexible compensation plan for childcare & public transportation.
  • Reimbursement of up to 50% of the cost of English & Spanish classes.
  • Fresh fruit, cookies, soft drinks and protein shakes at the offie.
  • Regular company and team events like Pizza talks, Team Building activities, Christmas parties, hosting Meetups at the office and more!
  • Bonuses for referring successful hires after three months of continuous employment.
  • We offer a relocation package to people who are coming from another country.
