Job description

We are looking for an experienced AEM Architect to lead and evolve the overall Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solution architecture for a leading enterprise in the telecommunications industry. This is a long-term contract opportunity based onsite in Denver, CO.

The ideal candidate will own the full AEM architecture, drive the migration to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), define SPA-based component architecture, architect search and content discovery, and establish enterprise integration standards., Own and evolve the overall AEM solution architecture, including authoring, publishing, dispatcher/CDN, and content delivery layers.

  • Lead the migration to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) - Oak index strategy, repository and package structure, content compatibility, custom workflows, and Cloud Manager CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define component and template architecture for SPA-based homepage redesign, establishing reusable, authorable patterns and design-system alignment.
  • Architect search and content discovery (Elastic/AEM Search), including indexing strategy, relevancy, faceting, and performance.
  • Design personalization, targeting, and permissioning models that respect content security and audience segmentation.
  • Establish integration architecture with enterprise systems: authentication/SSO, user sync, database-backed services, and analytics instrumentation.
  • Set and enforce engineering standards: coding guidelines, code review practices, performance budgets, accessibility (WCAG) compliance, and security remediation.
  • Partner with product, design, QA, and DevOps teams to translate roadmap priorities into sound technical designs and phased delivery plans.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in AEM architecture and implementation.

  • Strong hands-on experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) and Cloud Manager.
  • Deep expertise in Java, OSGi, Sling, and RESTful services.
  • Experience designing SPA-based architecture using React, Angular, or similar frontend frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of search technologies such as Elasticsearch or AEM Search, including indexing, relevancy, and faceting.
  • Experience with personalization, targeting, and audience segmentation.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise integrations: SSO, SAML, OAuth, user sync, and analytics instrumentation.
  • Solid understanding of dispatcher, CDN, and content delivery optimization.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Denver, CO.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in telecommunications or cable industry.
  • Experience with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, or similar personalization/analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and security best practices.
  • Experience leading technical teams and conducting code reviews.
