Senior Software Engineer

ServiceStation is a fast-scaling SaaS marketplace connecting real estate teams and property managers with home service providers nationwide. We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our VP of Technology, architecting and shipping enhancements to a real production platform serving thousands of orders monthly.

You’ll own projects end-to-end: design APIs, build workflows, implement AI-powered automation, integrate with vendor systems (Salesforce, provider platforms, partner integrations), and help refactor the platform for 10x scale. The seat for someone who wants to ship real impact alongside someone who built the entire platform solo.

What You’ll Build

• Provider integrations - stand up APIs with national and regional internet, energy, TV, security providers; each one unlocks real revenue

• Order automation - take manual workflows (entry, status parsing, notifications) and make them software

• Data layer + reporting - contribute to the data warehouse and dashboards partners and finance run on

• In-House future state sales platform to allow for scalability

• Payments infrastructure - PCI-conscious, tokenized payment flows

• Platform modernization - refactor legacy components, improve performance, reduce technical debt

• AI-powered automation - intelligent routing, workflow automation, customer support enhancements, * Sit next to the architect - work directly with the person who built the entire platform; rare opportunity to raise your own technical game

• Real business impact - your code serves 1000s of orders/month; revenue changes based on what you ship

• AI-first environment - not bolted on; central to how we design and build

• Ownership - projects from architecture through deployment; no ticket factories

First 12 Months

You’ll deliver multiple major platform enhancements, reduce technical debt through modernization, build and deploy new APIs supporting strategic partnerships and future state in house sales database CRM, implement AI-powered automation improving operational efficiency, establish scalable development standards with your co-architect, and contribute to the long-term technical roadmap.

• 5+ years shipping production software as a full-stack developer

• Hands-on: React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), Vite, Next.JS

• Back-end: Node.js + Express (or equivalent); Nest.JS; REST API design and implementation; authentication/authorization

• Database: PostgreSQL, Prisma, SQL optimization, indexing, query tuning

• Authentication Systems: WorkOS

• Cloud + DevOps: Digital Ocean, Vercel, AWS; Docker, Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Linux

• API integrations: Salesforce APIs, third-party SaaS systems, webhook experience

• AI-accelerated development: Demonstrable workflow with Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor - show how you architect, direct, review, and ship differently with AI tools (not just faster typing)

Preferred Experience

• SaaS platform development (workflow management, CRM (Salesforce is the current platform), marketplace, subscription systems such as Stripe, order management)

• LangChain, LangGraph, Model Context Protocol (MCP), vector databases, RAG, semantic search, AI agents

• Telecom, utility, property management, or real estate technology

• Experience mentoring or influencing technical direction

• Proprietary mapping technology resolves which internet, energy, TV, security providers serve any address

• Order engine for real estate teams, property managers, dealer partners

• 1,500+ orders/month; integrations with 25+ provider systems and Salesforce

• Small team, big ambition; 2-3 year runway to an exit

• Based Plano, TX; fully remote engineering team
