IMS Core Engineer (5G-NR/LTE)

We are seeking a highly skilled IMS Core Engineer with extensive experience in 5G-NR and LTE to design, implement, and optimize core network solutions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of IMS core network elements, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for next-generation mobile networks. Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques in Telecom domain and IMS (4G/5G/LTE) Core networks. Experience in Case Handling, including Emergency Support activities Experience in Conducting root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to enhance customer experience. Extensive knowledge and expertise in the IMS VoLTE domain including of Nokia IMS Core products specifically Nokia TAS, Nokia SBC Competences and Expertise in LTE/5G system validation (end-to-end performance, KPI handling, mobile devices). Deep knowledge and understanding of SIP, Diameter and H.248 Protocols including knowledge of TLS, IPSEC, RTP. Solid experience with Protocol Analyzer Tools (Wireshark) and internal message flow protocols. Knowledge and experience with Linux. Strong scripting skills and ability to automate manual tasks which could be easily converted to a script using shell, python. Knowledge of Kubernetes, VMWare, OpenStack, Kubernetes, CBIS, CBAM, and NCS, * Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IMS core network architecture and solutions.
• Proven experience with 5G-NR and LTE network deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Strong expertise in IMS protocols (SIP, DIAMETER, RADIUS, etc.) and core network elements (PCRF, CSCF, HSS, etc.).
• Knowledge of Cloud-native technologies and Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs) is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong command over network protocols, especially related to IMS, 5G, and LTE.
• Familiarity with network automation and tools like Ansible, Python, or Automation Frameworks.
• Deep understanding of network performance tuning and monitoring tools.
• Experience in end-to-end testing for IMS core solutions within 5G/LTE environments.
