Job description

This is not a traditional PLC or industrial automation role. We’re looking for someone who understands how electronic controls integrate with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on mOur Clientle equipment. You’ll work directly with customer engineering teams to specify products, solve technical challenges, and help develop innovative machine solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the technical expert for electronic controls, displays, sensors, and electrohydraulic solutions throughout the Western Region.
  • Partner with sales and customers to evaluate application requirements and recommend the best technical solution.
  • Support OEMs with product selection, system integration, troubleshooting, and implementation.
  • Provide technical guidance on controllers, displays, sensors, wiring, and hardware integration.
  • Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, product demonstrations, and application discussions.
  • Develop technical proposals, application recommendations, and solution presentations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, operations, and global technical teams to support customer projects.
  • Deliver product and application training to customers, distributors, and internal teams.
  • Build strong relationships with customer engineering organizations while supporting new equipment development and machine upgrades.
  • Travel approximately 25% throughout the Western U.S., with additional travel during active customer projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting electronic controls or electrohydraulic systems used on mOur Clientle or off-highway equipment.
  • Strong understanding of controllers, HMIs, displays, sensors, CAN communication, and mOur Clientle control architectures.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with C, CODESYS, MATLAB, or similar controls programming environments.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing technical support skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.

Preferred Background

  • Application engineering experience with mOur Clientle equipment OEMs, fluid power distributors, or controls manufacturers.
  • Experience supporting complete machine systems rather than a single subsystem.
  • Background with construction, agriculture, material handling, forestry, mining, aerial work platforms, or other off-highway equipment., #engineering #hmi #hydraulics #matlab #c-programming #sensors #controllers #schematics #codesys #technical-sales #can-bus #functional-safety #mOur Clientle-equipment #canopen #displays #product-selection #application-engineering #embedded-controls #distributors #off-highway #oem-support #mOur Clientle-controls #electrohydraulics #machine-architecture #tier4
