Job description
Are you a Reliability Engineer with experience improving equipment performance, reducing downtime and developing proactive maintenance programs within a manufacturing environment?, We’re seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to support a large-scale manufacturing operation near Varnado, LA. You’ll work across maintenance, engineering and operations to improve asset performance, strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and move the facility towards a more proactive reliability culture.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll use equipment data, condition monitoring and structured problem-solving to identify recurring issues and deliver measurable improvements in uptime, maintenance cost and equipment life.
Ready to take ownership of reliability improvement across a complex manufacturing operation?, * Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies across critical production equipment.
- Use vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, inspections and other condition-monitoring techniques to identify developing equipment issues.
- Analyze equipment history, downtime trends and maintenance data to identify reliability improvement opportunities.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and structured failure investigations for recurring or high-impact equipment problems.
- Apply reliability tools including FMEA and RCM to improve equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness.
- Support CMMS development, asset data integrity, maintenance planning and effective use of equipment history.
- Partner with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to implement equipment modifications and reliability improvements.
- Work with equipment manufacturers, suppliers and technical vendors to resolve performance and component reliability issues.
- Support the development of maintenance and operations teams through reliability training and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of reliability, maintenance or plant engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and condition-based monitoring.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, RCM and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn equipment and maintenance data into practical improvements.
- Experience within a heavy manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
- CRE or CMRP certification is beneficial but not essential.
