Job description
This Principal Specialist (P3) High-Performance Computing (HPC) candidate will provide Raytheon Digital Technology with High Performance Computing Administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. This candidate will understand Windows Server internals, and knowledge of Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods., * Help develop and implement new technologies based upon industry best practices.
- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems at a high scope and complexity to include the integration of High-Performance Computing hardware, software, and operating systems (OS).
- Understanding of software tools, automated scripts, batch schedulers, hardware, and system-level troubleshooting, to lead and support the engineering community.
- Perform OS tuning to maximize system performance on high performance computing systems. Work across DT functions to standardize processes and procedures.
- Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
- Provide documentation and training on advanced DT HPC processes and procedures. Be a mentor to junior team members.
- Must be able to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification) within 6 months of hire date., Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience in Windows and/or Linux Server Environments including directory services management, and system hardening.
- Experience maintaining a medium sized Microsoft Windows Server environment.
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Experience with High Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools., * High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
- Experience in project leadership, management, or project management in a DT domain and basic to advance scripting experience.
- An active DoD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Windows and Unix security hardening, systems integrations, advanced troubleshooting, and authentication service integration (LDAP).
- Unix (Including Linux and Solaris), experience in a medium to high complex environment(s).
- Working knowledge of High-Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools such as SLURM, Grid Engine and Ganglia.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
