Engineer II, Infrastructure

Experteer Overview In this role you design, implement, and support Forbes’ corporate tech infrastructure for a hybrid workforce. You own critical areas such as email security, endpoint management, identity services, and collaboration platforms, and you handle complex technical escalations end-to-end. You’ll work with security and IT teams to strengthen protections and enable global collaboration. This is an opportunity to shape a scalable, secure foundation for Forbes’ operations and growth. Compensation / Benefits * Administer email security gateway (Mimecast, Proofpoint, or similar) including policies, threat protection, URL/attachment protection, spam filtering, impersonation/phishing protection, and secure messaging * Maintain SPF, DKIM, DMARC and improve email deliverability and anti-spoofing defenses * Investigate and remediate phishing, business email compromise, and impersonation attempts * Lead email security awareness efforts and phishing simulations with Cybersecurity * Serve as escalation point for complex endpoint, identity, and access issues * Manage endpoints with Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro across Windows and macOS, including zero-touch Windows provisioning with Windows Autopilot * Manage identity and access via Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory, including lifecycle, MFA, and group-based access * Maintain endpoint security tooling (CrowdStrike, Okta Verify, etc.) and build standardized configurations, policies, and baselines * Support security audits and access reviews with Cybersecurity * Support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and SharePoint; troubleshoot hardware/ software/networking/video across Windows/macOS * Maintain conference room tech (Zoom Rooms, displays, cameras, control systems) * Write and maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles * Mentor junior staff; balance day-to-day support with longer-term projects; participate in after-hours on-call rotation Tasks * 5+ years in Corporate IT, Endpoint Engineering, or Infrastructure roles * 3+ years hands-on Mimecast administration or equivalent (Proofpoint or Defender for Office 365) * Strong email security background (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, anti-phishing, threat response) * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and Jamf Pro * Deep knowledge of Windows and macOS administration * Experience with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory * Solid understanding of endpoint security tooling (CrowdStrike or equivalent) * Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, and SharePoint * Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) * Ability to work independently and balance support with projects * Strong documentation and communication skills * Physical capability to lift 20-30 lbs * Certifications in email security, endpoint management, Microsoft 365, or Okta preferred * Experience with email gateway migrations preferred * Scripting experience (PowerShell or Python) preferred Key requirements *
