Job description

Join our dynamic IT healthcare team as a PACS Radiology Field Specialist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical imaging IT solutions and vendor upgrades across diverse clinical settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your advanced IT and biomed radiologic device skills, including ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and to support our vendor system upgrades.

As a key contributor you will assist in documentation and discovery of of radiologic equipment while maintaining the highest standards of radiation safety and patient care. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes by providing timely and data and information for the upkeep of devices in urgent care, emergency rooms, trauma centers, and specialized clinics.

Duties

  • Collaborate closely with IT project teams and healthcare teams to coordinate inventory and planning for the vendor upgrades across a number of enterprise site facilities.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, maintain detailed records of device details and network information; DATA analysys and entry - accuracy, ++ attention to detail and strong skillset in spreadsheets Excel/Sheets data
  • TRAVEL - extensively across healthcare facilities in the Austin region, is REQUIRED for this position.
  • MUST work well in a TEAM setting; strong social skills in a fast paced busy healthcare environment

Requirements

  • Proven general experience is helpful in familiarity with radiologic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, PET scanners, mammography units, DEXA scanners, fluoroscopy units, and nuclear medicine devices.
  • Hands-on experience in urgent care settings or emergency rooms is highly desirable; familiarity with Level I Trauma Center protocols is a plus.
  • background in IT PACS workstations and diagnostic radiology equipment is helpful.
  • Demonstrated commitment to radiation safety procedures and implementing best practices for patient and staff protection.
