How can you make an impact?As a UX Designer for McGraw Hill, you will play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences. Your designs will directly impact learners and institutions by delivering innovative study solutions that meet their needs, whether through direct-to-consumer offerings or institutional solutions. By championing user-centered design principles, you’ll help redefine education technology and drive adoption of innovative learning solutions. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. What you will be doing:Collaborating with agile teams to create mockups and specifications for developers, ensuring seamless implementation.Utilizing and contributing to McGraw Hill’s design system, maintaining consistency across digital products.Partnering with researchers to conduct user research and iterating designs based on findings.Staying updated on competitor products and industry trends to ensure McGraw Hill remains at the forefront of innovation.Fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration within the design team while maintaining a big-picture awareness across projects.What you can bring to this role:A passion for innovation and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the education space.Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.Expertise in UX design processes, including wireframing, prototyping, and delivering design specifications.Proficiency in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Cloud.Familiarity with accessibility best practices and standards, ensuring inclusive design.A fundamental understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (preferred but not required).Experience in EdTech or designing complex solutions for digital environments is a plus.Qualifications:BA/BFA degree in Design, HCI, CS, or equivalent experience in related fields.3-5+ years of UX design experience, preferably designing complex solutions for digital applications across web and mobile platforms.Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.Self-driven and adaptable to a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.Varied experience across digital applications, with a focus on creating intuitive and functional consumer-facing user interfaces. Requirements
