Machine Learning Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role, you will design, implement, and manage advanced ML systems with a focus on computer vision, handling data, evaluation, and production deployment across on-prem, cloud, or embedded environments. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to translate research into robust, field-ready algorithms for national security applications. The position offers a chance to work across modalities (CV, LLMs, audio) and to influence deployment and performance in mission-critical contexts. You’ll stay current with research, evaluate techniques, and drive practical impact for customers. Compensation / Benefits * Develop, fine-tune, train, and optimize computer vision algorithms for object detection and tracking * Utilize MLOps tools for experiment tracking, data management, and reproducibility * Write robust, efficient, and maintainable code * Stay abreast of ML research and bring new techniques to MORSE * Conduct experiments and rigorous evaluations of CV models * Acquire truth data, integrate and test algorithms, and analyze field-test data Tasks * US citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance * Masters or Ph.D. in a related field * Proven experience applying CV models and libraries to implement and fine-tune models * Proven experience testing and validating AI in real-world applications * Proficiency in Python * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) * Experience with Docker * Experience with MLOps tools (Airflow, MLFlow, AimStack) * Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with customers * Understanding of Department of Defense requirements is a plus Key requirements * bonus potential * stock * 401(k) match * health, dental, vision, and life insurance * paid time off * 10 paid holidays
