Senior Database Security Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and scale a next-generation Data Access Management program across relational, NoSQL, cloud-native, and emerging databases. You will partner with security, engineering, and operations teams to implement DAM at scale and to leverage AI-enabled automation for faster investigations and attestation. You’ll build pipelines, dashboards, and risk models to elevate data security, governance, and monitoring. Compensation / Benefits * Expand database activity and access management coverage to new databases and cloud data services * Design and implement custom DAM solutions for various database platforms * Develop scalable pipelines to ingest and analyze audit logs, cloud logs, and security telemetry * Partner with security operations, database engineering, cloud engineering, and application teams to scale DAM * Evaluate emerging AI, database, and cloud technologies to enhance access management * Integrate DSPM platforms to enrich access management with data classification and metadata * Serve as SME for strategic initiatives from requirements to production deployment * Build AI agent-based automation to correlate events across security data sources and detect anomalies * Create AI agent-based workflows to simplify database access attestation processes * Develop risk-scoring models combining user behavior, data sensitivity, privileges, access patterns, and threat intel * Automate workflows to reduce manual investigations and improve response times * Design dashboards and executive reports for monitoring coverage, risk posture, and program maturity Tasks * 7+ years of software engineering in database security or related field * 3+ years of experience with GenAI, LLMs, and agentic workflows * Strong programming skills in Python, Java, NoSQL, REST API, Springboot * Experience building AI agents using LangGraph, LangChain or equivalent * Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for tool integration and A2A collaboration * Exposure to implementing Agentless Database activity monitoring * Solid understanding of data engineering principles including ETL, data management, and vector databases * Strong understanding of anomaly detection, classification, and clustering * Hands-on experience implementing data security controls in AWS and GCP * Experience with large-scale log, telemetry, and security datasets Key requirements *
