Senior Developer

Experteer Overview In this role you will build and maintain low-latency, high-throughput trading systems for NYSE. You’ll work across the software lifecycle to deliver reliable routing, matching, and back-end components, while embedding ML models to improve decision-making in latency-sensitive paths. You will collaborate with business and sales teams to align technical solutions with strategic goals and production needs. The role combines systems programming with performance optimization and on-call support to sustain a market-leading trading platform. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position at a premier financial exchange, offering the chance to shape the core infrastructure that powers modern trading. Compensation / Benefits * Analyze requirements and propose technical solutions within cost, time, and quality targets * Create work breakdown structures with estimates for each deliverable * Develop, unit test, and maintain new or modified functionality * Collaborate with QA and developers on integration and regression testing; own defect resolution * Promote software changes through environments to live production * Provide on-call technical support during business hours and rotation-based off-hours * Contribute to continuous improvement efforts Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering * 5+ years of hands-on C/C++ development on Linux * 2+ years scripting experience (Python, Perl, or Bash) * Experience with C++ unit testing frameworks and CI tools * Experience with code analysis/coverage tools (Coverity, Valgrind, gcov) * Strong understanding of TCP/IP and multicast network protocols * Strong multithreading and performance-oriented programming skills * Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools and effective prompting techniques Key requirements * healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision) * 401(k) plan * life insurance * time off * paid leave for qualifying circumstances
