Job description

We deliver a collaborative experience by working directly with the surgical community to ensure you get the exact surgical tools you need at the right time and the right price.

  • Remarkable service: A seamless, personal process designed around you and your needs.
  • Trusted performance: Our product family is the result of years of experience championing surgeons and listening to their expertise.
  • Outstanding value: No matter the surgical specialty, we deliver quality products for all markets.

Our people promise Excellence is our Specialty and what makes us successful is our people. We are committed to fostering a positive, empowering and growth-oriented environment where all team members are encouraged to share their opinions and ideas. That means you will work alongside an accomplished and highly collaborative team that inspires commitment to our goal in attaining excellence in everything they do., We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect to own Corza’s internal application platform end-to-end personally designing, building, deploying, and operating its applications and integrations with AI-assisted development as standard practice, and setting the standards everything on it must meet.

The architect also enables non-technical system owners to use those same AI-assisted methods to build applications of their own design on the platform, guiding and governing that work through the review gates and guardrails that make it production-safe.

What you will do

  • Own a managed set of internal intranet applications end-to-end with AI-assisted development as standard practice.
  • Design, build, and operate system-to-system integrations using event-driven patterns, scheduled/timer jobs, error handling, observability, and reliability controls.
  • Steward the internal application platform: ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement, ensuring the platform remains stable for all tenant applications as it scales.
  • Maintain & Enhance automated SDLC: CI/CD pipelines, testing, deployment, and monitoring automation.
  • Establish and govern UI/front-end standards and reusable patterns that citizen developers and IT build against.
  • Facilitate, guide, and govern citizen developers building applications of their own design. Manage coaching, guardrails, review gates, and escalation support that make the citizen-development model safe to scale.
  • Provide pull-request review capacity and code-quality gates across platform and citizen-developed code.
  • Lead and evangelize AI-assisted development practices across platform and citizen-developed work.
  • Act as business analyst where needed - elicit requirements, translate business objectives into buildable application and integration designs.
  • Participate in creating an AI-assisted application requirements documentation process for new application requests.
  • Balance long-term platform strategy with hands-on delivery; produce documentation and reference designs others can execute against.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant certifications (cloud, architecture, DevOps) desirable - TBD-HR per leveling.
  • 8-10+ years of professional application development experience, including proven TypeScript application development (production web applications).
  • 2+ years in an architect or technical lead role (application, platform, or integration architecture).
  • Custom application development architecture experience - designing multi-tenant or platform-based application systems.
  • AI-assisted development experience - using AI coding tools/agents in real delivery workflows, and establishing team practices around them.
  • Integration development experience - APIs, messaging/eventing, system-to-system communication patterns.
  • SDLC automation experience - CI/CD, automated testing, release and monitoring automation.
  • Business analyst experience - requirements elicitation and translation directly with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business leaders, bridging strategy and execution.
  • Track record of serving as a technical thought leader while remaining deeply hands-on.
  • Demonstrated mentoring/enablement of other developers - including non-technical or citizen developers; aptitude for future people leadership.

Technology Requirements - Required:

  • Languages/runtime: TypeScript, .NET, Python, PostgreSQL (Prisma).
  • App/API: Next.js + React micro-frontends (Module Federation, Turborepo/pnpm), tRPC + REST.
  • Azure: Container Apps, ACR, Front Door, Log Analytics, Service Bus, Function Apps, Key Vault.
  • DevOps/IaC: Azure DevOps, Terraform, Docker.
  • AI tooling: agentic coding in real delivery workflows (Claude Code preferred).

Technology Requirements - Nice to have:

  • Agentic development experience
  • MCP development experience
  • LLM Wiki/2nd Brain experience
  • Promoting AI use with non-technical peers

Functional Requirements:

  • Functional requirements gathering (directly with business stakeholders)

  • Working within both project-centric and agile methodologies
