Requirements

Please source a strong Linux/Systems Engineer with hands-on Linux administration, Shell/Python/Perl scripting, Java application hosting, SSL/TLS, network troubleshooting, and deployment/automation tools such as Ansible, BladeLogic or AutoSys. Glassbox/Splunk/Tealeaf/SiteScope experience is highly preferred, with strong production support and troubleshooting skills. Job Descriptions:

  • Glassbox Systems Engineer - this role is not an analytics role, nor focused on onboarding new applications to Glassbox
  • Hands-on shell scripting and Linux system administration experience
  • Hands-on Java application hosting on Linux experience
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Shell Script, BladeLogic NSH, Python, Perl
  • Thorough understanding of server certificate implementation / TLS and how to troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills
  • Strong network troubleshooting skills using various tools (Ping, nslookup, traceroute, curl)
  • Good communication skills with ability to coordinate work between system admins, network engineers, end users and others to deliver solutions together
  • Creative individuals with a track record of working on and implementing innovative technology solutions
  • Self-starter with the ability to deliver complex solutions with minimal oversight and supervision
  • Working knowledge of regular expressions
  • Experience with deployment tools such as BladeLogic, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef and/or AutoSys
  • Experience working in a secure, multi-data center environment (including basic understanding of how firewall rules work)
  • Experience with Glassbox especially, but other monitoring tools such as Tealeaf, Splunk, SiteScope, etc.
