Experteer Overview In this role you will design and lead the AKS platform for enterprise-grade applications, aligning with standards for reliability, security, and scalability. You will work with cross-functional teams to enable scalable cloud-native delivery and optimize cloud infrastructure using IaC. You will drive platform modernization, automation, and secure application delivery, contributing to resilient, enterprise-grade Kubernetes environments. This is an opportunity to shape AKS standards, tooling, and best practices at scale while partnering with architecture and security teams. You will help build a secure, observable, and compliant platform that supports mission-critical workloads and cloud-native Compensation / Benefits * Design, implement, and manage AKS platforms for mission-critical apps * Architect highly available, scalable Kubernetes environments * Optimize cluster performance via node pools, autoscaling, and workload tuning * Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar IaC tools * Implement automated environment provisioning across dev/test/prod * Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitOps, and Helm * Manage container lifecycles, image repositories, deployment automation, and release management * Enforce image governance, vulnerability scanning, and security controls in ACR * Support Jobs and CronJobs for batch workloads * Implement and maintain AKS security controls (RBAC, Azure AD integration, network segmentation) * Secure workloads with secrets management, mTLS, and runtime protection * Collaborate with security teams on vulnerability management and compliance monitoring (Wiz.io, Defender) * Design secure API patterns and integrate gateways/service meshes as appropriate * Design and manage AKS networking with Azure CNI, Calico, ingress controllers, and Application Gateway * Troubleshoot networking, DNS, service discovery, and hybrid connectivity * Integrate AKS workloads with API Management, Key Vault, Application Gateway, and other services * Implement enterprise monitoring and observability with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing * Develop dashboards and health metrics; lead backup, DR, and BC planning * Lead Kubernetes capability enhancements (service meshes, modernization) * Mentor engineering teams on Kubernetes, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices * Partner with architecture and security to deliver secure, scalable cloud-native solutions Tasks * 8+ years in cloud or platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE * 5+ years hands-on Kubernetes experience in production AKS environments * Deep Kubernetes architecture, networking, security, and workload management expertise * Strong experience with Azure services including AKS, Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, ACR, Key Vault, APIM, and Application Gateway * Experience with CI/CD automation, Azure DevOps, GitOps, Helm, and IaC * Strong knowledge of observability, incident management, DR, and operational excellence * Experience implementing enterprise security controls, vulnerability management, and cloud compliance frameworks * Excellent troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills Key requirements *
