Job description

With three U.S. locations and decades of experience in government, commercial and education markets, our innovative solutions and reliable services allow clients to focus on core business and improve outcomes. Our data centers host applications process billions of transactions, supporting state, federal and commercial business., Responsible for coordinating a team of technical specialists through all assigned work requests. Review and distribute all approved work requests based on staff availability and skill, ensuring all needed resources are obtained. Monitor progress and performance and troubleshoot any problems that may arise., * Meet with management teams to review all active and planned work efforts. Upon approval of a project, assemble a qualified team to support of the work request. May shift resources and obtain additional resources from management in response to changing circumstances. Assign and schedule work request tasks to team based upon availability and skill. Coordinate work efforts among team and other areas. Monitor progress and performance and troubleshoot any problems that may arise.

  • Assist in identifying and escalating any issues that may have a negative impact on a project. Escalates issues to management and design staff as appropriate. Conduct and lead status meetings with team to review all active projects and to obtain feedback and an opportunity to verify adequate resources are assigned to their projects. . Ensures appropriate decision making by the team. Performs problem resolution as needed for the team. Attend various meetings related to current and upcoming projects.
  • Maintain a resource plan to be distributed to each team member on a routine basis. May schedule brief review sessions to obtain feedback, enabling the staff an opportunity to verify adequate resources are assigned to their projects.
  • Accountable for monitoring work progress and performance, ensuring the timely delivery of a quality solution. This is accomplished by tracking and communicating status, resource needs, deadlines, and issue resolution in a timely manner. Report progress of work to management including key project milestones.
  • Cross-trains with technical staff to gain thorough understanding of the projects and processes of the assigned area.

Requirements

This position is full time and fully onsite in Columbia, South Carolina (strongly preferred), State College, PA, or Dallas, TX. This position operates within a fast paced, multi-platformed work environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer., * Bachelor’s

Degree Equivalency:

  • Associates degree plus an extra 2 years of job-related work experience for a total of 7 years of required work experience (see “required work experience”)

OR

  • 9 total years required work experience.

Required Work Experience:

  • 5 Years Information systems experience., * Strong analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of system analysis concepts.
  • Working knowledge of the application and business functions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of development and production environments, database systems and utilities, applicable programming languages and system components.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business, client and project needs.
  • Ability to balance workload for several work requests simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of resource planning and organizational impacts.
  • Working knowledge of requirements gathering concepts.

Required Software and Tools:

  • Microsoft Office, and graphics software.

We Prefer That You Have The Following :

  • Hands-on experience with z/OS, CICS (strong preference with CICSPlex), VSAM, and SMP/E.
  • COBOL, JCL, REXX, and/or Assembler experience.
  • Experience with monitoring/performance tools (such as BMC or IBM Performance Analyzer).
