Senior Salesforce Engineer :: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

Seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Engineer to design, develop, and deliver end-to-end Salesforce solutions supporting mission-critical public-sector programs. This role will focus on building scalable and maintainable applications on Salesforce Government Cloud, supporting business functions such as case management, licensing, service operations, and related program workflows. The ideal candidate will combine strong Salesforce development expertise with solution-design capabilities and will work closely with product owners, program stakeholders, and technical teams to translate complex requirements into secure, reliable Salesforce solutions., * Lead technical discovery sessions with product owners, program teams, and other stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.

• Analyze requirements, evaluate solution alternatives, and recommend appropriate Salesforce implementation approaches.
• Design scalable end-to-end solutions aligned with business objectives, technical standards, security requirements, and long-term platform strategy.
• Develop and maintain Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flows, and other platform capabilities.
• Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems.
• Create technical solution designs, integration designs, blueprints, and configuration strategies.
• Determine the appropriate balance between declarative configuration and programmatic development based on solution requirements.
• Follow established Salesforce engineering standards, development practices, security requirements, and platform governance.
• Build solutions that support complex workflows such as case management, licensing, and service operations.
• Review Salesforce Spring, Summer, and Winter release updates and assess their impact on existing applications, configurations, and integrations.
• Identify potential breaking changes, deprecated functionality, new platform settings, and features requiring implementation or remediation.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to prepare applications for Salesforce platform updates.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate AI-driven capabilities and intelligent automation into Salesforce solutions.
• Evaluate AI use cases with consideration for security, compliance, governance, responsible use, and business value.

• Strong hands-on experience designing and developing enterprise Salesforce solutions.
• Extensive development experience with Apex.
• Strong experience developing Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Experience designing and implementing business automation using Salesforce Flows.
• Strong experience designing and implementing Salesforce integrations with external systems.
• Experience translating business and technical requirements into scalable Salesforce solution designs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud and/or Salesforce solutions within government or public-sector environments.
• Experience supporting child welfare, human services, case management, licensing, or service operations applications.
• Experience assessing Salesforce seasonal releases and managing the impact of platform changes, deprecations, and new features.
• Knowledge of AI capabilities and intelligent automation within the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Experience implementing AI-enabled solutions while following security, compliance, and responsible-use standards.
