Job description
This role will focus on building and maintaining internal and customer-facing applications that support key areas of our business. You will work closely with senior developers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions with a primary focus on our backend-driven Next.js/C# application and new tooling built within a larger connected system., · Design, develop, and maintain software applications using our core stack (C#/.NET, Next.js, HotChocolate GraphQL, PostgreSQL).
· Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to implement new features and enhancements.
· Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications within our connected system; writing clean, well-tested code; troubleshooting and improving existing systems; participating in code reviews; refining technical requirements and implementation approaches; and contributing to documentation and team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
· 3-5 years of professional experience as a software developer.
· Experience with C#/.NET for backend development.
· Experience with React and a solid understanding of modern JS frameworks; Next.js experience is a strong plus.
· Experience building or consuming GraphQL APIs.
· Experience with PostgreSQL or relational databases, including writing raw SQL queries.
· Familiarity with modern development practices: Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines.
· Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
· Ability to work independently on well-defined tasks with minimal supervision.
· Solid understanding of core mathematical principles.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Next.js App Router, Apollo Client, or TanStack Query.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) and cloud-managed container workloads.
- Experience with Azure services (AKS, ACR, Key Vault, Entra ID / MSAL authentication).
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tooling.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Background or interest in the HVAC industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
