Job description

Freewheel is currently looking to recruit a Data Scientist to join our Audience & AI group as part of the Revenue Science engineering team. This role will be responsible for supporting product development efforts related to data analyses, AI, machine learning, optimization methods, and statistical model building. This role will work very closely with engineering and product management staff to support the development of innovative approaches to the next generation of ad tech products., * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data-driven questions and conduct experiments for product and service enhancements

  • Engineering and refining algorithms, software, and automated processes for robust data integration and cleansing from multiple sources
  • Utilizing statistical rigor and advanced data science methods to analyze large datasets, deriving insights through predictive models and machine learning
  • Implement ad tech solutions leveraging statistical models and machine learning methods
  • Researching and applying new technologies and analytical methods
  • Applying advanced data visualization to provide key insights
  • Working independently and as part of a broader team across multiple projects
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data-driven questions and conduct experiments for product and service enhancements

  • Developing statistical and mathematical solutions to complex business problems, contributing to broader initiatives with minimal supervision
  • Architecting data mining models and protocols to discern trends within extensive, intricate datasets, enhancing customer and product insights
  • Deploying predictive analytics based on historical data to anticipate customer behavior and support strategic business decisions
  • Synthesizing forecasts and strategic recommendations by applying data science to business data for impactful project support
  • Advancing business decision-making by researching and applying novel data science principles and emerging analytical techniques
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research required; Master’s or PhD a plus
  • At least 2 years of experience with Python, SQL, and analytical model implementation required
  • Experience using AWS, Databricks and Snowflake technologies required. Other on-prem/ cloud platforms a plus
  • Knowledge of AI platforms (e.g., Amazon Bedrock), large language models and AI orchestration (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph) technologies desired
  • Experience with Optimization Models such as Linear and Nonlinear Programming a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Looker and Tableau a plus
  • Skilled at data mangling and extract, transform, load (ETL) pipelines
  • Skilled at machine learning model building and evaluation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently in a problem solving environment
  • Proven ability to deliver on complex projects within deadlines
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Strong interest in advertising technology, Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), Python (Programming Language), Structured Query Language (SQL), Master’’s Degree

Benefits & conditions

New York Pay Range: $118,300.41 - $177,450.62

This job can be performed in Illinois with a Pay Range of $103,512.86 - $184,844.39. This job can be performed in California with a good faith estimated pay range upon hire of $88,725.31 USD - $164,306.12.

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within the posted range for this role at the time of posting dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
