Job description

Join the information security organization of a major global financial institution focused on protecting enterprise applications, technology platforms, and critical business operations. This team works closely with cybersecurity specialists, application development leaders, and technology stakeholders to strengthen security capabilities across a complex enterprise environment. The role will support a highly visible security transformation initiative requiring strong coordination across technical teams, security SMEs, leadership groups, and application development organizations.

What’s In Store For You

  • Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)
  • Hybrid opportunity based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
  • Work on a large-scale enterprise application security enhancement program with significant organizational visibility.
  • Partner directly with information security specialists, application development teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead adoption of a new security tool and supporting processes across a broad application development organization.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Lead the program structure and execution of a large-scale enterprise application security enhancement initiative.
  • Build and maintain the program roadmap, milestones, governance structure, and implementation plan.
  • Coordinate steering committee activities and provide clear updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and adoption.
  • Partner with application security subject matter experts to translate technical requirements into an actionable enterprise rollout.
  • Engage application development teams across the organization to introduce a new security tool and supporting processes.
  • Develop communications and stakeholder engagement strategies that drive participation and adoption.
  • Facilitate meetings between security SMEs, technology leadership, and application development organizations.
  • Track adoption metrics and program outcomes, with success measured in part by the number of development teams successfully introduced to the new security capability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant technology, cybersecurity, technical program management, or enterprise transformation experience.
  • Strong experience managing complex, large-scale technology or security programs within enterprise environments.
  • Practical understanding of Application Security concepts, processes, and security tooling.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise-wide security enhancements, technology rollouts, or security transformation programs.
  • Strong program governance capabilities, including roadmap management, steering committees, stakeholder communications, risk tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience working directly with application development teams and technical subject matter experts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical specialists, development leaders, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous teams, dependencies, meetings, and implementation activities simultaneously.
  • Financial services or similarly complex regulated enterprise experience is beneficial.
