Cloud Engineer II (IL5/IL6, DoD SRG) (Senior)

Farfield Systems is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure supporting NIWDC EW data management and NIODB operations at Naval Station Norfolk. You will architect and operate cloud environments compliant with DoD Security Requirements Guide (SRG) Impact Levels 5 and 6, supporting classified Navy EW missions. Responsibilities include cloud environment provisioning, security configuration, automation, performance optimization, and integration with on-premises server infrastructure. You will work alongside DBA, Linux, and Windows server teammates to deliver a resilient, secure hybrid environment. This is a senior-level role requiring both deep cloud expertise and a DoD security mindset.

Active TS/SCI clearance required as a condition of hire (on-site SCI access at government facility per DD 254 and SCI Addendum). DoD 8140 CSWF certified with CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II) required on day one. At least one professional-level cloud certification required (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert). Demonstrated familiarity with DoD SRG IL5/IL6 cloud environments. Senior-level cloud engineering experience. Compliance with all DoD and Navy IT regulations required.
