Job description

We are growing our presence in the US and are now looking for an Application Specialist, Hull with deep expertise in shipbuilding and structural design to support Cadmatic Hull deployments, customer success, training, and technical consultation. If you are technically strong, customer-focused, and passionate about delivering practical solutions, this role is for you.

As a Hull Application Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for Cadmatic Hull. Your work combines hands-on software use with customer collaboration. You work closely with customers across the full lifecycle, from setup to everyday use, guide them in hull structure modeling, and help them get more out of their design workflows. Along the way, you handle complex technical questions, deliver practical training, and bring customer feedback back to our R&D teams.

You will be based in Virginia, Mississippi, or Louisiana, working remotely from your home office.

In short, your job includes:

  • Providing technical support and training to help customers adopt and use the software effectively throughout their projects.
  • Advising customers on hull structure modeling and efficient ways of working with Cadmatic Hull.
  • Solving technical questions and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Running training sessions both remotely and at customer sites.
  • Participating in the sales process as our technical software expert giving software demonstrations.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A degree in Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Marine Engineering discipline is preferred.
  • 3+ years practical experience in shipbuilding, structural design, engineering, and/or 3D CAD.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. marine industry. We especially value experience in naval environments.
  • High customer orientation and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with strong public speaking ability for training and demos.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Basic programming knowledge (for instance C++) is considered a plus.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This salary range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this position, and the final offer may vary within the range depending on the work location, work experience, and the level of expertise in shipbuilding or marine engineering.
